Let's lift a glass to Josh Sack... The Brakes drummer who passed away on May 4th. He lived to help make one of the finest debut CD's I've ever heard. Rock on man.

But, one question I haven't been able to answer is; what song is playing in the background during the scene in Dogtown where everyone's at the Zephyr party and Stacy Peralta walks up and finds his girlfriend kissing all over Jay Adams?

All I could make out was, "Oh baby,....Oh baby, get out of my song/soul?"

The version of "Voodoo Child" at the beginning of the film is not Stevie Ray Vaughan, it's most definitely Jimi Hendrix, just a different version, which I've also been looking for.

Some of you have been asking for the two songs that play during the party at Tony's house. The first one is a reggae tune called "Stepping Razor" by Peter Tosh and the second one, that you may know as the song Jay is dancing to is, "Fire" by Jimi Hendrix.

As for whoever it was that said the song that plays on the way to the Del Mar Nationals, you're wrong. The song isn't "Son Of A Bitch" by AC/DC, it's "Hair Of The Dog" by Nazareth.

For the Nathan kid a few posts up, the song isn't called "Madhouse Madness" it's called, "Motor City Madhouse" by Ted Nugent.

In response to 'G', the song that's playing during Jay's set that skip put on is called, "Iron Man" by Black Sabbath.

The answer to "blah's" question, the song is called, "Old Man" by Neil Young.

And last but not least, to answer "Dixie Girl's" question, the song that playing is called, "I Just Want To Make Love To You" by Foghat.

When you are talking about the "banana cover" you are talking about The Velvet Underground's album cover, not the Rolling Stones' album Sticky Fingers. Warhol did design the Stones cover, but used a real zipper on a picture of a crotch of a pair of jeans. The interesting part of it being a real zipper attached to the cover instead of a picture of a zipper.

Whatba great story!!!! And speaking of great stories, why not a shameless plug for my new novel, BLOOD ON THE TRACKS, which I think your readers will enjoy.

It's a murder-mystery. But not just any rock superstar is knocking on heaven's door. The murdered rock legend is none other than Bob Dorian, an enigmatic, obtuse, inscrutable, well, you get the picture...

Suspects? Tons of them. The only problem is they're all characters in Bob's songs.

You can get a copy on Amazon.com or go "behind the tracks" at www.bloodonthetracksnovel.com to learn more about the book.

Thanks for pointing this out! Really enjoyed New Magnetic Wonder, and they seem to be holding level with the quality of their work with this new album. At first hearing, it's a little more melancholy than the last album, but still a good listen.
